Purchased to replace a Mr. Coffee that finally gave up the ghost.Had comparable features like auto brew timer and auto shut off.Will be replacing it soon with another Mr Coffee. When you pour the first and second cups you can expect to make a mess with the dribble carafe. It is difficult to fill the coffee maker with water without making another mess. I dont know why they added a splash bar across the fill area but it does make filling it with water a challenge.On the positive side the brew timer and suto shut off work well and it makes coffee as you would expect. The big down side is that useability is lacking.

Melitta Ready Set Joe Travel Mug Coffeemaker Review

The Brew Cone is wonderful...mmmm...freshly brewed coffee for every cup.
The Travel Mug is another story all-together. The seal on the lid is tenative at best.Mostly leakes coffee with every sip.I won't use the lid anymore.Otherwise it's a pretty mug.

Toastmaster TCM14B 14-Cup Coffeemaker, Black Review

I would like to second the other reviewer's comments about weak coffee by adding that if I tried to make more than eight cups with mine, the water would overflow the container holding the coffee grounds, spilling them into the coffee itself and blocking the dispenser. Result: 6 cups of ground-filled weak coffee. I wish I hadn't lost my receipt. I'd be embarrassed to manufacture a product like this.

DeLonghi 12-Cup Digital Programmable Drip Coffeemakers Review

At this price level, most coffee makers are terrible.This Delonghi model seems to be one of the rare exceptions.I've had it for over a week now and I'm very pleased with it.

The Good:

-Well designed carafe.When you pour a cup of coffee, it doesn't spill everywhere like some makers I've used in the past.Additionally, it's proven easy to clean

-Fairly solid design.While not bullet proof, the maker as a whole seems sturdy, with one small exception (see below)

-The "Aroma" setting is AWESOME.I've owned many coffee makers in the past and it always takes quite a bit of grounds to brew a pot that's strong enough for me (I like my coffee almost espresso strength).Not with the Delonghi!just put in the grounds, pour in the water, hit "start", then hit the "aroma" button and in 15 minutes you've got yourself coffee that's (at least) twice as strong as coffee from a regular maker

The Bad:

There are only two problems I've had with this maker (and I must stress that they are very MINOR)

-When fully open, the tray for the filter does not quite clear the top of the maker.As a result, you have to tilt the filter and mess with it a bit to get it free of the machine.Additionally, the filter is sometimes a little tricky to get back in, but once you figure out the trick to it it's a bit easier

-The spring that holds the "pause and serve" lever in place seems cheap and looks like it would be easy to break (it hasn't broken yet, so this is just an assumption).This isn't a really big issue for me as I never use this feature, but I know that some people do.On the plus side, the spring is easily accessible, so if it ever did break or come loose, then it would probably be easy to put it back in or replace altogether

Despite these minor problems, the Delonghi coffee maker performs like a champ (indeed good enough to still earn a 5 star rating in my eyes).The good far outweighs the bad, and I'd recommend this maker to anyone who just wants a simple, well-made machine for a decent price.

Rancilio Silvia Espresso Machine Review

very good machine. if you don't invest in, or already have, a good coffee grinder, you might have to work with the local grocer or starbucks to get a grind that is perfect (i use starbucks).i've had my machine almost two years. it is solid quality construction, and it pulls a perfect shot every single time. the steamer is much faster than my last machine and doesn't loose power after the first pitcher of foam.

Factory-Reconditioned Cuisinart DCC-1200FR Brew Central 12-Cup Coffeemaker, Brushed Stainless Steel Review

Would I buy this coffee maker for the full price of the new model? Probably not. But the reconditioned one is a great value.
It looks great, as is apparent from the photo. Keep in mind, though, that as a reconditioned unit, it may have some minor blemishes to its appearance. Mine, for example, has a very small dent in the stainless steel on its left side. It's not noticable unless you're looking for it, and that alone wouldn't keep me from recommending this coffee maker. (Also, as previous reviewers have noted, this model does NOT come with a permanent filter like the new model does.)
What's a little iffier about it, though, are a couple strange design issues that affect usability.
Every coffee maker I've ever owned has had a flip-top carafe--but not this one. You have to physically remove the lid to pour water into the carafe--a minor inconvenience, but an inconvenience nonetheless.
You need the carafe to measure water, because there's no water-level indicator on the coffee maker itself. Additionally, the water filter takes up a lot of the space under the lid, meaning that there's a relatively small space to pour the water into from the carafe. It's enough room that someone without any mobility problems shouldn't have any issues getting the water in, but it takes a little getting used to.
Overall, I'd recommend the reconditioned model of the Brew Central. It's not so great that I'd replace it with another one of the same model if it became unusable, but good enough that I'm glad to have it on the counter.

Pasquini Livia 90 Automatic Espresso Machine Review

Recently my La Pavoni broke down after 3 years, so I had to look for another machine. My machine of choice for espresso has always been Cimballi, but I was not impressed with any of their machines, which did not require a water line. After some searching and recommendation from a friend I happened upon the Pasquini Livia 90.

As far as espresso machines go, the Pasquini Livia 90 is the best unit that does not require a water line.The water resevoir holds a very large amount of water and the espresso made with this machine is simply amazing.

A good espresso should have a thick layer of creme on top (goldish brown in color) which will hold the sugar poured in to the coffee afloat for a few seconds.The Pasquini Livia 90 was the first machine I've owned to accomplish the feat.I've owned a $700 Krups Fully Automated Machine, used a $3,000 Fully Automated Machine and owned the La Pavoni fully manual machine.However, the Pasquini was the only machine to provide the perfect creme.

The steam produced by the machine will froth milk for any of the popular espresso drinks and the ability to draw hot water from the unit is also a nice touch.Unlike some machines you can leave the unit on for long periods of time without having to worry about burning out the machine.

Best machine in its class.

Got the coffee maker for only $58 at our local Sam's Club-looks like it was a special for the holidays.
Real easy clock. Super strong glass (10 cups).
1000 watts - coffee hot enough.
Takes a few min to brew - but with the programable clock no problem.
Basket filter - NOT cone shape- ( oh well ).
The clock shows you how long the coffee has been sittin since it was brewed...neat.
Looks great on counter and plug wire stores in the back of maker.

CONS: Stays real wet inside...with dew....all day...kind of weird?

Would say it was well worth what I paid!
