B&D 12 CUP COFFEEMAKER PRGRMBL. LCD DISPLAY Review

Purchased to replace a Mr. Coffee that finally gave up the ghost.Had comparable features like auto brew timer and auto shut off.Will be replacing it soon with another Mr Coffee. When you pour the first and second cups you can expect to make a mess with the dribble carafe. It is difficult to fill the coffee maker with water without making another mess. I dont know why they added a splash bar across the fill area but it does make filling it with water a challenge.On the positive side the brew timer and suto shut off work well and it makes coffee as you would expect. The big down side is that useability is lacking.

Hamilton Beach 43501H 12 Cup Proctor-Silex Coffeemaker Review

I've had this coffee maker for about a week and have used it every morning.It works just fine - quiet, simple, very basic.I especially appreciate the black fill markings inside where the water goes, this is so helpful to those of us with not-so-great vision.The only thing that I wish it had is a removeable lid on the carafe.Washing and drying the carafe would be so much easier if the lid snapped off.I've tried gently to take it from its hinge but it does not come away and I don't want to force it.UPDATE - I am now able to remove the lid for ease of washing and rinsing.I just had to sort of force it off one day and it has gotten easier now to take off and put back on.If they had said the lid was removeable in the instructions I would have tried sooner.

Black & Decker DLX900 12-Cup Drip Coffeemaker, White Review

If you're looking for a good basic coffee maker with a timer this is it! Not expensive, not fancy but works and makes a decent cup of coffee. I was attracted to the price and the B&D brand name. I have several other B&D appliances as well as tools and I'm happy with them all.

Delonghi 12-Cup Drip Coffeemaker Review

I received this coffee maker as a gift some time ago and it works GREAT!

The LIKES:
1.I don't have ANY leaking problems as others have stated so I was very concerned when I received this coffee maker.I suspect that some of the leaking problems others have reported are due to not completely shutting the water/coffee swinging door or not getting the coffee pot conpletely onto the warmer plate.
2.The coffee gets HOT, hotter that with the old Gevallia and it's quieter too.
3.It brews coffee at 1 cup a minute (which seems to be like any other coffee maker I have ever owned).
4.Very stylish with a cup warmer on the top of the unit.
5.The water & coffee tray combination swing out! The ease of adding water WITHOUT spills and not having to reach so high & pour where you usually can't see to pour!Just pour the water in first THEN add the coffee!
6.NOT having to use the paper filters!I put coffee directly into the gold mesh basket and no grounds come out into the pot! If there are any grounds, they aren't worth mentioning.
7.Easy to clean, all of the filters & baskets come out for cleaning.

The DISLIKES:
1.I would like to see this model in White. (No big deal)
2.Setting the clock/timer requires you to hold the button until the time gets to where it needs to be.No shortcuts here. (Not that big of a deal)
3.A lighted clock would be nice also. (Not that big of a deal)
4.Water filtration would be good too. (Not a show stopper)
5.To set the Timer you have to press the On button TWICE to set the Timer until the Red light turns Green. (Again not a show stopper)

Overall It's a GREAT Coffee Maker!!!

Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemakers Review

Works great at first, but becomes junk fast.Bought 2 at the same time (one for home and one for in our RV) and both are shot less than a year later even though we use filtered or bottled water in them.Randomly overflows and makes a huge mess on the counter and gets grounds in the caraffe.Moisture & steam from brewing causes the clock/timer to stop working after a few uses (steam rises and clock/timer is right above). Will not buy another one ever.

I love this coffee pot!I bought it before reading the negative reviews of most Mr. Coffee makers and was a littler nervous when I read all the bad things.I have owned it for several months now.

My coffee pot never leaks when I pour it.I can remove the pot while it is still brewing and pour myself a cup.The programable feature works great.The filter holder is removable, so it is easy to keep clean.Also, the top of the coffee pot itself snaps off so the whole thing fits in the dishwasher very nicely.I used the water filter for a while and then stopped because it was just one more thing to clean everyday, and we have pretty good water where I live.Also, I don't use the reusable filter because I don't like the sludgy taste it gives my coffee.I prefer disposable filters.Also, the cord can be tucked inside the back of the machine, so you don't have extra cord length lying all over your counter.I scoot my coffee maker right back to the plug so I only need a short length of cord...the rest is tucked nicely in the back of the unit.

My favorite feature of this coffee pot is that when it is done brewing it gives two nice beeps.It wakes me up in the morning and motivates me to get up because I know my coffee is ready and waiting!

I would recommend this coffee maker to anyone!

Nescafe Dolce Gusto Single Serve Coffee Machines Review

I want to love this machine. If you are considering purchasing the Dolce Gusto machine I STRONGLY suggest you sample the coffee first (I think Sur La Table has demo machines). Here's what I like about the machine:
* The design is sleek.
* It's well made and sturdy.
* The machine heats the water up really fast- once you turn it you're ready to make coffee in well under a minute.
* The machine is incredibly easy to use. (see attached video for a demo of a cappuccino)
* No real cleanup required after each use.

Now for the bad...
* The machine comes with a latte macchiato glass, a cappuccino cup and saucer. Unfortunately the packaging was very poor (not enough bubble wrap) and the saucer arrived cracked.
* The coffee is horrible. As good as the physical machine is... it is only as good as the coffee it makes. All the milk based Dolce Gusto drinks are excessively sweet, taste artificial and have a ton of sugar and have anywhere from 3.5g-6g of fat.
*The non-milk drinks are very disappointing as well. Both the espresso and lungo aren't very strong and taste very average.

Cuisinart Brew Central 14-cup Coffee Maker Review

This has got to be my favorite coffee pot that I have owned. I like the 14 cup pot for guests. You can make 1/2 pot when you dont need a whole. It has a clock so that you can program for a fresh cup of coffee when you wake up. It also shuts off by itself so you never have to worry about leaving it on all day when you go off to work. Also comes with a gold filter. Love it!
